Party at Keex's house

Brighton

Morphine

I go home alone
I have glycogen
You know what, the real surprise is those blue sky curtains

Up inside my little brain there are narcotic substances
over and over being excreted
I spit out my saliva
Totally private, totally private behavior, that’s what I was into

You know, the real surprise is those sky blue curtains

As my cheeks get redder and redder
Your voice echoes in my ears with my eyes closed
Keep on dreaming that old private dream
Up inside my little brain there are narcotic substances
over and over being excreted
I spit out my saliva
Totally private, totally private behavior, that’s what I was into

Chloé Richard

Chloé Richard. She's an amazing photographer, she's also my friend who lives in Portland (right?).
Today she sent me a set of photos she took at the PRE show in Portland.
She also have a blog. I was very touched by what she was saying...

"I’m interested in shooting people so I can know more about them, I shoot what I want to see more of..... I photograph what I want to remember, what I want to see more of."

"When I’m taking a picture of you, for a few seconds I want to delve deep into your eyes and take everything you will give me and give you everything I have in return ."

Chloé Richard

same with me, by seeing the pictures of who took, I get to know more of the person who took those pictures.
By seeing pictures of me Chloé took, I feel like started to know her better and liking her even more...
She takes pictures of inside of me.

PRE US Tour

So here's some stories and pictures from 2 weeks PRE West Coast tour.
We toured and shared a van with Mae Shi for the most of our 2 weeks tour.

There are so many stories to tell... but the high light of the tour was the smell, we played at the Smell in LA with Health/teenage moms/Foot village & IM a Gymnast.
The show was awesome. I crowed surfed twice during the set. Everyone was moshing. kids knew our songs. My dream came true.

We also played in Olympia. the venues was really small and no stage, I was also really tired from the night before. I couldn't sleep at all. because I slept on the hard floor with no carpet and it was freezing.
But as soon as we started to play, kids gone completely mental. they were watching right in front of my face. I couldn't move round. It was like a mosh pit straight in the stage. Sounded really good as well. I felt like we were in a punk history, those books you read and feeling "Shit, I wish I was there" sort of feel.... like Henry Rollins "Get in the van." No Bullshit. So REAL.

During the tour, we usually stay at friends houses, Mae Shi knew lots of people in each town.
So they saved us a lot. 9 of us sleep in a living room for 2 weeeks... On tour we just need somewhere to crush each night, we have no manager or people with money behind. We rely on selling our merch and money we get paid each night. I learn so much from being a band doing this.
I sometimes wish If it was more easy... like, having my own hotel room with nice shower. People to look after selling our merch and setting up our gear....
But doing what we do now hopefully will be rewarded sometime....
Also by doing this, I meet lots of people I wouldn't be able to meet and get to know.
PRE stayed at Foot Village's Brian and his girlfriend Eva's house and Dan & Grace's house while we were in LA.
They are nice people and we got on so well. We made a good friendship. I'll be in touch with them for sure.
We also went to Miks Miko BBQ party, it was at Jessie(bass)'s house.
It was fun and good to hang out with them. Dog(scooter)We played with Health twice during the tour. We played with them a couple of times before. I love them.
I think me and them started to know each other even better. I didn't really have chance to know them before and I was pre judging what they are like. For example, Jake and John PRE always get on really well but me and Jake never really talked enough to get to know each other. I thought Jake doesn't want to talk to me. I hadn't talked to John Health properly before either. We just never had a chance, he always get on with sorting out their merch and stuff.
But this time, they were more friendly and I was pleased. John like me taking pictures of them and he likes pictures I take. The one I'm carrying his guitar case picture is now on his desktop screen!John and BJ (Health)

We played in Portland 26th April. Hannah and Nathan from Gossip came to see us. They live there. Beth couldn't make it, so I left a message on her phone.
I met lots of friends there to see us too, amazing, mutual friends, like Fist Fite, who I hadn't met before, but they are friends with Klaxons, Also Chloe , Nilina, Maggie, and Panther Charlie and Joe, who played with us that night.
Hannah kindly offered us to stay at her house. The house was so lovely. She lives with her girlfriend Brandie and their 2 dogs. Brandie is also really nice. I've met her a couple of times before too. I love them so much.We watched some fucked up stupid videos and drank lots of beer till 5 in the morning, we had to leave Portland at 6 in the morning in order to get to the next town, I think it was San Fransisco, it took us 13hrs to get there.

The Last high light of the tour was our last show in .....fuck. I forgot the name of the town we played....
but at this kid's basement. Low ceiling. packed with kids, there were no mic stands, so we had to hang them from the ceiling.
Same as the show in Olympia, the kids gone completely mental. got really hot and sweaty. pushing each other so I cut my lips and bleed.
Just after we finished playing police turned up and stopped us carrying on making noise. Mae shi was playing the 2nd song. So they had to stop....
The was the best ending of the tour.
