```KEEX's TOP 10 MOMENTS of the YEAR /////

Tomorrow will be 2010. 2009 was the most exciting year for me, the most fun, but also the toughest, busiest year physically & mentally I was deranged. How was your 2009?
So here, I've listed KEEX's TOP 10 MOMENTS of 2009!
(there were so many best moments which could easily go to top 10 but they didn't make it because I can't tell those stories in public)


No. 10 - BAR 25 IN BERLIN(May)
The Big Pink toured in Europe, after the show in bang bang club we had the best night out at Bar 25.


No.9 - BOAT TRIP IN IBIZA(September)
I went to a boat trip with Klaxons when The Big Pink played with them in Ibiza Rocks, it was so pure swimming in the middle of the sea watching the sunset.


No. 8 - THE BIG PINK NORTH AMERICA TOUR WITH TOUR BUS
(November - December)
It was like living in the dream. First time ever I had a posh tour bus living in there, it was a great experience and I loved it.


No. 7 - MILLER'S HOUSE MAKE OVER - END OF ERA -(December)
My poverty house turned into some MFI showroom shit with mosaic tiles and crystal taps. The house used to be a shop called "psychedeli" selling magic mushrooms long time ago,
After the shop closed down the house has became the legendary infamous "Miller's House" with people /bands including Test icicles / upset the rhythm / many musicians and artists moving in and out doing house parties, people used to destroy our walls and furniture getting wasted and stealing our pepper grinder to iPod...
We've also had gigs in our kitchen including A grave with No Name / Hate Crime / Hype Williams / Arch M etc. We'll be still having the same fun and parties but we'll be careful not to destroy anything anymore.


No.6 - SHOT BY KERN(June)
The photographer Richard Kern, also the director who made the music video of Death Valley 69 by Sonic Youth & many x-rated films with staring Lydia Lunch. I love his work, I always wanted to get involved in his art. So I was so honored.


No. 5 - PRE SXSW, TOURING THE WEST COAST & PLAYING AT THE SMELL SOLD OUT HEADLINE SHOW(March - April)
PRE played at SXSW everyday for a week then toured the west coast with Mae Shi. One of the best moment of my life, emotional rockn' roller coaster, sleeping on the floor every night, driving ourselves and doing everything by ourselves, meeting people becoming friends, playing at wearhouses, kids living rooms.


No. 4 - SUMMER SONIC JAPAN WITH THE BIG PINK(August)
First time ever I played a show in front of my family. Summer Sonic is Japanese version of Glastonbury/Reading. My mum & dad, brother, aunties, cousins all came to watch me. My mum and aunties cried when they saw me playing on the huge stage.


No. 3 - COMANECHI EUROPE TOUR WITH YEAH YEAH YEAHS(July)
I always loved YYYs, I watched them live a couple times before, but 4 years later I was supporting them watching them by the side of the stage, I cried when Karen O sang "Maps" for us.
They also took us to a very nice restaurant for dinner, they were very nice people. I love them.

Exceedingly Good Thai Red Curry

So this time I made Thai Red Curry with Conan, the only difference between Thai Red Curry and Green is the color of the chilies used. Thai Red Curry uses red chilies which is hotter.

But I'm gonna still show you how to make Exceedingly Good Thai Red Curry because it's a little bit different from last time I made Thai Green Curry.

Chop vegetables. (any veg you can find in your fridge)

Heat oil in the wok and add garlic, ginger & chili

Put Beastie Boys' Paul's boutique on

Add veges, but the ones take longer to cook first and stir fry, then add the rest.

add Thai Red Curry paste & Coconut Cream

Add fish sauce, cook for 20 mins or longer.

We didn't have lemongrass so we squeezed some lemon juice in.

So before squeezing lemon, grate lemon skin finely with cheese grater to add and mix grated lemon skin into cooked rice to give some nice fresh lemon fragrance!

wet a cup and squeeze lemon fragranced rice into it.

Yay! Can you also see the finely grated lemon skin in it???

Well done!

It was so delicious with nice lemon flavor, we had it with nice warm sake. We watched the film Ramones Rock n' Roll High School on DVD, then Robin came round joined us with a bottle of red wine! It was really fun.

Anvil!

I've just watched the film "Anvil - The Story of Anvil", a great Rockumentary, the true story of the metal band Anvil which didn't make it to top in 80's. The core of the members Lips(Vo./Guitar) and Robb(Drums) are still best friends who started the band together at 14, they are now in their 50s.

Because of their dedication and passion for what they're doing and the true friendship they share, the film is not just about music or be in a band, it's a lesson of life too. The whole thing was actually pretty deep.
I laughed and cried.... it was so touching, there were so many bits that I emphasized them. The reason why I'm in bands, but also the reality of being a musician is not as easy as people think. The last quote in the film by Lips says why I do what I do...

"Goes far beyond writing a good song has nothing to do with the song,
it has to do with the matter of attitude what you are willing to settle for,
who you are willing to work with, and having a good time with my life
enjoying my life.
That's the most expensive thing in life and most valuable things in life
is your relationships the people that you know,
the places you've been and the experiences you've had."

Chimpanzees

I have 55 friend requests on my facebook at the moment, if I don't recognise who or not really friend I don't accept it, I also don't really want so many online friends.
Anyway, this guy picture below was on my friend request, I didn't recognise who the fuck he was, but my friend Misa recognised and told me that he's the husband of Naoko Nozawa. OMG>>> and WHY? Naoko Nozawa was a comedian/singer back in Japan, I really loved her, but she moved to America and is still doing a really fucked up band with her husband Bob. (I don't know her personally btw not facebook friends either)

This is their band Chimpanzees (they now have a new band called Ass Baboons of Venus)

Me & Bob are now facebook friends.

One day I want Chimpanzees to play with my band. Thank you Bob x
