Sunny day at last!

Woo!!! Sunny day at last! Seriously, it's been so miserable raining here in Britain every fucking day for a month. Weather definitely affects our mood.
Like... today is the perfect day for eating cold buckwheat soba noodles outside, washing my bedding and dry in the sun!
my lunch

the one on the right is silken tofu with spring onion & finely grated ginger.
served with seasoned soy sauce dip with wasabi. My bedding has nearly dried already!

4 Heroes

Yesterday my friend Misa visited my house, she came back from Japan and brought me amazing amazing presents back. She totally knows things I like.
She went to Yayoi Kusama's exhibition at Osaka Museum and got me Kusama Pumpkin cookies! You know I love Yayoi Kusama. Check the box!
Inside, there are cookies with Kusama's drawings on.
But I don't want to eat them, I don't want her drawings to get disappeared in my stomach, turned into a poo and go down in a toilet! I will keep the cookies forever even I get really hungry.

Another present from Misa was this book about Taro Okamoto.
Does anyone know who he is? He's also a great Japanese artist. He is my hero, he's dead now, but  his book called 'Some Hold Out Your Poison You Are "Human Sense" Or Be Abandoned' is my bible.
While ago I wrote down some of his words in my note book to remind myself why I do all the things I do...

I'll translate some of his quotes... (sorry if my English isn't correct, I hope you get it though)

なにかを貫こうとしたら、体当たりする気持ちで、ぶつからなければだめだ。本当に生きると言う事は、自分で自分を崖から突き落とし、自分自身と闘って、運命を切り開いて行く事なんだ。
If you want to penetrate your aim, you have to use all your heart, mind and strength. To live real is, pushing yourself to the edge of cliff,  fighting yourself and opening up your own destiny.

Never say "I can't do it now, but sometime." People who say "I'm going to do it sometime" don't have responsibility to your own 'Current'. Living means getting on with 'Now' with passion every single moment. Not moving on from your past or making an excuse passing on to your future, you will never be able to live your life real now.

As a man, you will not be able to do anything if you chose your life 'safe' or protect yourself. You must experience a life that's not been calculated. I've continued drawing images and saying things people don't like to be who I am. You should try once, chose to go to the "minus" path like me. That will make you feel something "Whooaa!!!"with in you is coming out. That's the passion of living.

Young people must put all your energy towards your own dream. You should jump into it with brave.
I'll never forget the decision I made when I was young, and I'll still keep my determination going.
I'll live by choosing the risky path being confronted by death. Even I can't afford for food, I still want to live and move towards the real path. This passion and determination push me forward.

*******************************************************************
I have 4 heroes, I'll tell you who.

1 - Taro Okamoto, the artist I was just talking about.

2 - Hiroto Komoto, Japanese punk rock singer of The Blue Hearts, The HIGH-LOWS, The Cro-Magnons. (Some of his lyrics say similar things to what Taro Okamoto said),

3 - Martial artist Bruce Lee. (his book Tao of Jeet Kune Do is my bible too. I have the same book one in Japanese, one in English)

4 - Japanese comedian Hitoshi Matsumoto. His sense of humour is just beyond genius, I wanted to be a comedian when I was a child, for so long! He made me want to be a comedian, because of him! This is him on a TV advert for the band The HIGH-LOWS, my other hero, Hiroto Komoto's band.

So yeah, basically I want to be the person 4 of my heroes combined all in one.

what makes me happy...

I just got this email from the Gossip manager Tara... I've been friends with Beth, Hannah & Nathan since even before they became mega famous. Sorry, I'm not trying to show off. I've just been a big fan of Gossip and have all their old records etc.

What makes me happy is their manager's been also super sweet to me. This really make me feel that I'm not just their super fan - One way love. Same with The Drums manager Aimee... When she comes to London, she texts me. I'm so happy... Oh, and Emily ex-The Big Pink manager. Me and Emily have a good relationship and she still always invites me to parties... BIG LOVE X

Last Christmas

Do you remember my infamous cat GG? He's adopted to my friend Arthur since the beginning of last year. I moved house so many times and my life was in the middle of no-where last year that I couldn't afford to look after GG anymore. But he seems happy living with Arthur and his house mates in a nice house. Check, he had a proper  X'mas tree last Christmas!
The year before, he only got this toy X'mas tree from a Pound Shop.
I was trying to impress him,
Look GG X'mas tree!!!
here's another X'mas tree!!!
I can see now he's stepped up his life, He gets a real X'mas tree and loving being an aristocat! Miss you GG... x

GG when he was baby.

So Revolutionary!!!

I know I'm boring getting so excited over this Japanese dish I just made, but I really wanted to blog about this, so you could try it too. You may know Japanese savoury pancake called Okonomi-Yaki. But this one is called Negi-Yaki. Instead of shredded cabbage, we use sliced spring onion, it's much simpler, easier and so cheap to make! like 20p per pancake?

I was so surprised how tasty it was. I nearly cried for it and regretted that I never made this in London before. I think the main reason why I was so happy eating this was because I re-discovered how tasty this simple dish was realising you can actually make this Japanese food with all the ingredients you can buy from your local supermarket "Cheap".  You know often cooking Japanese meal, you have to go to Asian super market to buy all the bits you need and can get quite expensive. But this tastes SO JAPANESE, but also very easy & cheap to make!!! That's why I wanted to blog about it and you to try it. This is so revolutionary!!!

Basically all you need is:
Plain or Self-raising flour (whichever) - 2 table spoonful
Cornflour (cornstarch)  - 1 table spoonful (*very important to use corn flour as well as regular flour to make the pancake moist and sticky)
Water - 6 table spoon
2-3 spring onion sliced
powdered Japanese fish or seaweed stock - 1/3 tea spoon (this might be a bit tricky to find, maybe just use salt instead?)
Vegetable Oil
Soy Sauce (preferably light soy sauce, but DON'T USE Amoy Dark Soy, ughhh! that one don't taste anything like Japanese soy sauce, it will ruin this dish)

1- In a bowl whisk together all the flour, powdered fish stock and water untll smooth, then add spring onion and mix.
2 - Oil a frying pan that has been heated, add the mixture.
3 - Using a spatula flatten and form a pancake.
4 - Flip pancake when one side is cooked.
5 - When it's cooked removed to a plate and drizzle soy sauce (not too much) & Mayonnaise if you wish.
6 - Eat quickly before someone near you take your portion!!! or maybe share it, sharing is good!!!

still sleeping

Skelly
Tallulah

needy...

I've been looking after Tallulah for the last 3 days.
She's been very good.
Today Skelly joined too.
They had a very long run (not walk), They love running after each other.
Tallula runs so fast, that's the only what she's good at. But really, she's super fast.
check how fast Tallulah is!

Now they are tired & taking a nap.

Asudari

I went to my friend Lamia's second hand & sample sale today. I bought Lamia's brand Asudari penguin dress and her Paco Rabanne neckless (with unbelievably cheap price)!!! Thank you Lamia!
This is Wednesday the dog. She's going away to Saudi Arabia with Lamia for like 4 months. I'm going to miss her. (the black dress I'm wearing is Lamia Asudari's penguin dress)
First time I ever met Wednesday last year I was confused...

Look at her... I mean,
I couldn't tell if she was cute or a freak.
But she's definitely cute, YES SHE IS!!! She's so adorable.
so this is the Paco Rabanne neckless.
and this is Asudari penguin dress.
(sorry about my bed head)

making me jealous....

Mia and Tom are in Napa Valley, California.
I did skype with them.
Where they are staying has a jacuzzi, the view from there are amazing.
They left their computer on to make me jealous watching them. x

Comanechi vs A Grave With No Name

Comanechi are playing in London Wednesday 2nd May with A Grave With No Name at Hotel Street in Soho, 120-125 Charing Cross Road. You can buy Tickets from HERE. ONLY £3 Bargain!!!
oh. and just so you know, I won't be playing drums in A Grave With No Name. Alax has his drummer Anupa back. It's good that I'm not drumming for AGWNN because every time I help drumming for Alax we fall out massively. In Fact, I still haven't seen him since the Spain shows. 2nd May will be the first time we will see each other.

Premiere

I haven't updated my blog for a while, I broke my camera on Comanechi tour few weeks ago, so I've been taking pictures from my phone camera, BUT the phone camera is pretty rubbish and doesn't have a flash etc. So that puts me off blogging.
Anyway... I had a hair cut yesterday.
This is Pshemko
He's a really good hairdresser. He had a cold and running nose.
I so needed to sort my hair out, I've been cutting my own hair, I've never been to a hair salon for such a long time. My hair was so damaged from bleaching last year, it was out of control.
So here we go. one side like this
and the other side like this
I look like I had a brain operation!!!
