L - R (Mark:vox & keys / Ross: bass&vox / Liam:drums)
How many of you know Trencher? They split up like 3-4 years ago. But in my opinion, they are one of the best bands ever existed. I was their hard core fan, went to watch most of their shows in London and I have most of their records and merchandise. (shit, I just remembered I lost their T shirt, where the fuck did it go????? and their VHS When Dracula tour documentary??? Did I lent it to someone???)BBC live session at Maida Vale together in 2006. We played many shows together, first ever time we played together was at upstairs garage, silver rocket night.
This is Mark Trencher who sang and played mini-casio keyboard.
But he was a lovely guy. All the members were so funny and lovely. We became friends.
This is Liam.
If you remember, he came to see Comanechi's gig last month. He's now an amazing tattooist.
I don't know what Ross is up to these days. But last update I heard from Liam was working in a Jamie Olivers restaurant in Brighton.
Mark is now in Pale Horse. Check his new band out! (he's second from the left)
ANYWAY!!!! (Sorry, I'm over excited...) The main story of this post is... Comanechi are releasing a split 7" with Female Smell on DPLR Records. and our track is featuring Mark!!! He sang with me and did some crazy noise with his pedals on the recording. I'm so honoured and proud of myself. This is something I'm more proud of myself than the fact that I once supported Muse at O2 and Wembley Stadium! Fuck Yeah.
Comanechi & Female Smell are touring together in the UK in October to promote the split 7". We haven't confirmed all the shows yet, But the London show at Birthdays has just been confirmed yesterday. It's Tuesday 8th October.
MORE IMPORTANTLY! Mark will be doing the guest vocals with me that night! I got his reply today and I was so CHUFFED!
This is what he said. : )
"Hi Akiko, I'd love to do vocals on the 8th, pretty sure I'm free then. Hope you're well! "
IF you haven't heard of Trecncher or never watched their shows. Check their Europe tour video documentary here on YouTube, there are part 1.2.3, I have (had) it on VHS.
They are so funny, (the video is so funny) I watched it so many times. And of course, Their Music is SO FUCKING GOOD!!!
