I love ketchup, I finished recording the rest of drum parts for A Grave With No Name's new album yesterday! I even achieved to put drums down on one of the faggiest songs "Streams", (I love that song).

Alex promised me to take me to Japanese restaurant after the recording as my payment.

but before that he took me to this cheap cafe on our lunch break

and ordered us a big potion of chips, 2 slices of tuna sandwich and tomato soup

Finished recording in the evening,

Off to Japanese dinner! But I didn't realise his tactic till we got to this Japanese restaurant, I was still really full with the lunch we had. I wanted to order loads of nice food and make him pay. BUT.

Basically his tactic was he made me fill up with chips in the afternoon so I wouldn't order too much from this posh-ish Japanese restaurant.

The Japanese food was very nice. We ordered 2 bottles of red wine though, he ended up spending more money on booze than the Japanese meal. Thank you so much Alex for taking me for dinner. x

You may already know that Comanechi is now a 3 piece band live. I don't play drums live in Comanechi anymore so I can engage with the audience more and more fun live.

Chris who played drums with us last year is now very busy with his job and couldn't commit with us. So I asked my friend Dom who's in Is Tropical to help us out when he can.

In fact! He offered me to play drums when he's free before I asked him, that was like my life saver.

So, yeah... we've been rehearsing with Dom, he's so great! He's so fucking funny too.

Here's our rehearsal today.

So Tour de France 2012, Dom will be playing drums! We are getting excited now that we are almost nailing the 10 songs we are playing. We are going to have so much fun.

The only place I can buy Kraft macaroni cheese in my local area is this Rasta shop called "Ras Prince" on Shacklewell Lane.

Vita Coco is also hard to find, but the local Turkish shop "Basak Supermarket" on Stoke Newington Highstreet sells it.

You already know but I built my own home.

This year was the weirdest year I've ever had in my life (as far as I remember). I had to move house 4 times and all other things that mentally deranged me. It took me 11 months to finally live in a home where I could settle for a while. I don't really read into astrology stuff usually but Ben sent me a link of the Energy of 2012 by PsychicGuild.com when I was telling him about all these shitty things have been happening to me. I don't know if you might be feeling the same way about 2011. But many of my friends went through tough times this year too...

" With the energy of 2012 and the shifts occurring on many levels in your life, lives of others, conscious or unconscious, there has been dramatic changes to relationships sudden breaks, sudden endings or dramatic shifts creating unexpected turns with work, lifestyle choices, living arrangements, etc.

This can be due to the 'awakening' that is happening and those who have been mostly 'asleep' may now begin to awaken just like someone waking you up before you may be ready. Even though you know you have to get out of bed, being awoken earlier than we are ready can leave most feeling a little cranky.

If it is with some friends, family, co-workers, who you may be witnessing changes out of character - this can be part of that energy. Anyway, yeah, I just wanted to review my new house again. This container has turned into my apartment. Yes, it's kind of not really normal, but I know it soon people will copy this idea. Everyone copies me, right? Check Dalston Superstars. JOKE OBVS.

I kept the metal doors for a double security, but here is the regular front door and window been fitted with bricks and cement.

While I was building my own apartment all I was thinking was "What the fuck am I doing?".

But I don't like all those wanky apartments which have been built in East London over the last 5 years, they look all the same, I can't afford to live there anyway to start with. All the rent in Dalston gone up so much. How can everyone afford to live??? Or those English semi-detached houses. They are so claustrophobic to me. I can't buy or even rent a nice house, but I could turn this container to something I can be happy to live in. Also I'm now living with one of my best friends Mia. I don't have to deal living with strangers who are psychos anymore. I have to BIG thank Mia for asking me to live with her.

While I was building my container I just got so into D.I.Y. and realised my new talent that I made my own bed and clothes rail etc, too. I love sawing, drilling and mallet more than ironing or folding shirts.

So here you go. This is my home sweet home.

oh, and the room is very warm, I put loads of insulation.

I never expected that I was going to build my own house.

Everyone gets shitty times, but everyone deserves to be happy again. I'm about to come out from the darkness. Fingers crossed. The new chapter of my life. I want to tour lots next year, I want to do better with everything what I want and want to do.

I'm moving in to my new home tomorrow. It was such a long journey... So yesterday I went to a whole sale carpet warehouse, cheaper than 'Carpet Right' discount offer.

Basically someone introduced me to this carpet guy who sells carpets cheaper than cheap carpet shops. He visited me to show his samples a few days ago, I was going to use him, but he found out how extremely tight my budget was, fitting carpet by myself to cut the cost down. He eventually said to me that he wouldn't be able to make any profit from me, so instead of him ignoring me, he kindly took me to the carpet warehouse where he buys his carpets from..., yeah... I know, he's so kind, I couldn't believe it.
on the way back from the warehouse, I went to have a look a lock for my door. It has been very difficult finding a lock that match to my door. The door is 2nd hand the landlord got it for free from somewhere...
Back in the house, me, Mia and Tom carried on working on the communal place, kitchen & bathroom.

I can't remember what time I left but Mia, Tom and Ben stayed till 4:30am to carry on doing more work in the house. I had to go home to work on my paid job because deadline was today...

Today I put a lock in my door. Because I couldn't find the right lock I ended up using a yale lock.

Even using a yale lock it's not that easy to fit it in. I had to cut a piece of wood to slot in the gap, so I can put screws in to hold the lock.

I have 3 layers underneath the carpet. Don't worry about the stain on the underlayer. It's clean. it was in the container, I was going to throw it away so I put it outside my room and got rained on. but it's dried now.

I put a carpet trim too.

So basically 2/3 of my room is going to be my music space, then 1/3 is my bed room. So I'm keeping my bedroom floor with no carpet.

I can't wait to move in tomorrow. Wait and see how this room is going to look, I can't wait to set up my drums and all my musical equipment,

My back and neck hurt! almost... we are almost there.

Me, mia and tom have been working so hard finishing building the house. Painting, sanding and filling all the gaps on the corner of walls & ceiling. Still so much more to do.

This is mia's room on the bottom of my container, she has 10 foot longer room (length) than mine, also her room has been built more properly than mine, so she still has bit more work on it.

I made my bed out of skip yesterday. I found those futon beams outside Ben's apartment,

Yet one of another those days that I felt so shuttered and starved. I got plasterers to do my wall & ceiling last night. Because I'm on an extremely tight budget that they just filled in all the gaps with filler. They said it's not going to make much difference because the walls are all wonky anyway. The plaster is going to crack eventually apparently... : (

They told me that they've never seen a room as badly built as mine, but they also said to me I should be proud of myself that I've built it on my own and it's still completely liveable, and asked me to invite them for my house parties...

Today I've added skirting, I didn't buy them, found in a skip. I had to de-nail and scrape off plaster first. I felt like I was living in the third world making my house out of rubbish recycling.
Outside my room, I've made a bench out of blocks and a leftover timber, so people can hang out smoking or whatever here, Tom tried it today eating his packed dinner.

I hadn't eaten all day today, just being busy trying to fit in all my job, band stuff and this. All I was thinking while de-nailing and scraping off plaster off the used skirting boards was eating a big bowl of meat ball spaghetti for dinner,

I bought ingredients for it a few days ago, but I just never had time to even cook.

Saint Agur blue cheese on top of it, it does work. All I really want right now is to move in to my new 'slam' house asap and getting on with my life. I want to set up my drums, guitar amps and start making noise!

p.s. my meat ball spaghetti was so yummy and made me fee alright after all.

Carrie cooked very very nice chicken, bacon, mushroom, mascarpone pasta.her kitchen doesn't have a cooker, so she has this portable hobs. It was funny that she had to wipe off dust from her frying pan, that showed how often she actually cooks.

Fuck me, it's already Saturday night!!! I've been building my house everyday nonstop. I added more insulation, it had to be done. So it's warmer and for soundproof, I padded in so much!
Wednesday was the most exhausting day of the week, my back was hurting and couldn't really walk, but I carried on working till 10pm...

But I also don't forget to party...

Alex was at my house when I came home from the building site, we ended up partying till 3:30am...

Thursday morning, 8:30am! I went back to my new house, my plasterboards were getting delivered. I was so hangover.

I finished insulating in time for plasterboarding,

Friday. plasterboarded most of the walls.

Friday night, Nathan's birthday party

stayed up till 4am... not so bad.

Saturday morning, hangover. Plasterboarding the ceiling.

Mia brought us lunch.

She insulated her food with air bubble wrap to keep them warm. It was so yum.

nearly there... it's a lot of work. you can't rush anything, you have to do everything properly, I've learnt so much. It does take a lot of time.

Me and Tom drove to Birmingham to get cheap insulation yesterday. We had to go get them otherwise it would have taken another 3-4 days to get delivered plus p&p cost £50. So we thought We might as well spend £50 on petrol to go get them straight away.

London - Birmingham - London, my arse was numb from sitting in the van for too long.
So yesterday I didn't feel like I did anything, I was working on my paid job last night after I came back from Birmingham then carried on working this morning (I've been working everyday), then I went back to my new 'house' to put some insulation up this afternoon.
Here's how much I worked today... it doesn't look like I've done much in this picture, but it was a good 6 hrs work by myself. I know if a professional builder sees this, he'll think, WTF... but this will do for me. I did my best. Tomorrow I'm carrying on finishing off this bit and getting some plasterboards with insulation on one side and that's my walls done. I just remembered I need to buy more nails & screws.

I came home 8pm, Ben was cooking dinner. Here's the amazing dish I had. Massive slice of pork chop with I don't know what's this sauce/gravy called or how he made it, it was just so good.

On the way back from my new place to Ben's (where I'm living at the mo till I get my house ready), I was cold and so hungry, but eating this delicious dinner made me cheer up and warmed me up. Seriously this dish tasted like eating in a very posh restaurant. Actually it tasted way better. What makes me happy is these little things. Surrounded by very kind & fun friends, and looking at these dogs...

Mia and me rented out 2 metal containers. Here's mine.

I'm on the top floor.

this is going to be my dream house, live/work space. I'm going to have my music studio.

Putting electric wires into plastic tubes, so many things I'm learning, everything has to be safe to be able to live in here, all the wires need to be insulated because of the metal container, needs earthing etc., insulated correctly.

Battening out for plasterboards and insulation for the walls and ceiling. D.I.Y.

It's taking a lot longer to finish this project than we expected. I've never built a house before in my life, you really have to know what you are doing, planning and getting the right tools, getting quotes for all the materials and such.

Here's one central heating our friend was going to throw away. We are not wasting it. Collecting lots of scrap metals to sell, so we can make some money to buy more materials.

This is veggie option, sliced smoked tofu instead of Chashu (nicely cooked sliced pork).

Yelle cooked korian dish Bibimbap last night. It's one of my favorite dish.

Soy sauce & garlic based minced beef and lots of vegetables!

The keys for Korean flavor are Chilli pepper paste called Gochujang, Sesame oil and Garlic.

Mmmmmm.....

Nova and I went to the rapture gig at 100 club lastnight. They were awesome.

We bumped into our friends Emma & Henry at the gig, so we went for a drink after the show at Dean Street. Very nice posh bar+restaurant. This was the first time in ages I've been to posh bars. (financially not possible).

but now and then it's nice to go and treat yourself and make you feel like you are a middle class posh kid went to a public school, trust fund kid.... (No Offence.)

after Dean Street we went to the membership only Soho House, Emma is their membership.

This cocktail called Eastern Standard was so delicious.

here is the ingredients: fresh cucumber is the key for this cocktail.

Skelly is definitely abnormal. She's clever and makes me wonder if she's a dog. She understands lots of human words. She hi five, waits, sits, paw, gets down and rolls when we say those words. If I ask her where's ben (her dad), she thinks he's coming home and runs to the door.　

She even comes to sleep like how human does.
